Our full-field digital 3D/Tomo mammography uses advanced technology to create clear, detailed images, helping our radiologists see what matters most. With helpful image-enhancing tools, we’re able to better spot subtle changes that can be hard to see with traditional mammograms.

All women can be comfortably examined using our FCRm system, and your images are safely stored in our PACS system for easy access whenever they’re needed. At Sheridan Memorial Radiology, you’ll be cared for by two certified mammography technologists in an ACR-accredited facility—providing trusted, high-quality breast imaging right here in our community.

All breast studies are read by Billings Clinic Breast Health Center. Sheridan Memorial works closely with Billings Clinic referring patients to their High-Risk Breast Clinic.

Screening Guidelines

We’re grateful for the ongoing research done by the American Cancer Society and many other organizations to better understand breast cancer. We also know that new reports can sometimes be confusing or raise questions for our patients.

At Sheridan Memorial Radiology, we follow the recommendations of Billings Clinic Radiologists, along with nationally recognized guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the Society of Breast Imaging, and the American College of Radiology. These groups recommend annual mammograms starting at age 40 for women at average risk. Research shows that yearly screening beginning at 40 provides the greatest lifesaving benefit, and we believe that finding breast cancer earlier far outweighs the concern of false positives.

If you have questions or would like to talk through what’s right for you, please don’t hesitate to ask—we’re always here to help.
